Bret Michaels of the legendary rock band Poison and star of the reality show “Rock of Love” performed at the Elko Speedway on August 20th. Bret started the Roses and Thorns tour to promote his highly anticipated autobiography and based on the recent events in Bret’s life I am thinking this is going to be a good read.

The former Poison front man suffered from a subarachnoid hemorrhage in April and a stroke in May. Bret also recently announced that there is a 50/50 chance that he will wed his long time, on again off again sweetheart of 16 years Kristi Gibson. Ok, I am trying to do the math here... 16 years? Wasn’t Rock of Love on for two seasons? Where was Kristi? Well Bret did say 50/50.

All jokes aside, Bret gave a spectacular show and showed us why Poison was one of the best rock groups of the 80’s.
